With both a rich historical heritage and quality, well planned growth, Cambridge City combines the best of the past, the present, and the future!
Well known for its antique downtown shopping in its original buildings, Cambidge City is a vibrant and historic town, offering numerous services to our residents and visitors alike.
Cambridge City, Indiana
Near and far, people flock to take part in all that we have to offer. Located off Interstate 70, with US 40 running through town, we are in the heart of what folks call "Antique Alley." We are 1 hour east of Indianapolis and 1 hour west of Dayton, Ohio, making us a popular place to not just visit, but live in the suburbs of big city living.
Three of our best known annual events are our Independence Day Fireworks that puts on an hour long show that is sure to be a highlight of your summer. Come back in the fall for Canal Days, always the weekend after Labor Day, with great food, carnival games, the famous Duck Race, and several booths packed full of hand-made goodies. Our Winter Wonderland Festival is in late November and is worthy of a Norman Rockwell painting with the horse-drawn carriage rides, hot chocolate, antique double-decker bus rides, carolers, a moonlit parade down Main Street and our famous Christmas Wonderland of Lights in the park. We hope you'll come and see all that Cambridge City has to offer.
The forum will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at the Cambridge City Public Library, 600 West Main Street. We appreciate that the Library stepped up to host this important and inaugural community event! The 3 races featured will be: Wayne County Sheriff; Wayne County Council District 3; and Indiana House District 56. We are pleased to say that most candidates have confirmed they will be in attendance.
The evening will feature light refreshments and moderated discussion facilitated by James A. King, and Q & A from the audience. We will attempt to maximize the time for audience interaction. The event will be recorded by WCTV for re-broadcast. Phil Quinn of 101.7 The Point will assist by providing sound equipment, and possibly making a podcast of the event to be available at 1017thepoint.com.
Please share this information broadly. We look forward to an enlightening evening as the community becomes better informed about the beliefs and strengths of those who seek to serve our community beginning in 2019.
